Summary: Tahir Mahmood was a teacher at Safa & Marwa Islamic School in Mississauga, from which he was fired after allegations of sexual assault surfaced. It was later revealed that the victim was a 17-year old girl, but it was not clear whether she was a student. Authorities confirmed however, that the assault happened off of school property. It is not clear whether Mahmood was convicted. As of 09/09/2020, we have reached out to Safa & Marwa Islamic School to request updated information regarding the situation, and it is pending a response.
