Update on FACE's investigation of Hassan Shibly

Tampa, Florida, United States (05/18/2021) - The FACE Board, in cooperation with our FACE Executive Director, Alia Salem, has determined a perceived conflict of interest that exists between the accused party (Hassan Shibly) and Alia Salem. Thus, out of an abundance of caution, the FACE Board has requested Alia Salem to recuse herself from all parts of this investigation, which she did so willingly and promptly.

The investigation into the reported allegations against Hassan Shibly will continue. Under the oversight of the FACE board, alternate members of the FACE investigatory team have been identified to lead this investigation.
