Join FACE and poet Amal Kassir for a night of poetry and reflection to help support the work of FACE!

ABOUT THE EVENT: The event will take place on Zoom, April 20, 2022 at 4pm PST / 6pm CST / 7pm EST. A link to join will be sent to the email that is recorded on the ticket for registered guests.

ABOUT THE POET: Amal Kassir began as a slam poet with Denver’s Minor Disturbance youth poetry team who collectively won Brave New Voices International Youth Poetry Festival in 2012. She has since performed in 12 countries and 100+ venues ranging from orphanages to refugee camps to youth prisons to churches to schools. She is a two times TEDx Speaker who spoke in Geneva at the United Nations in support of women wrongfully imprisoned & tortured in Syria. Amal is the founder of the Writing Hour and House of Amal where she offers speaker coaching, one-on-one mentorship, workshops, & more.

ABOUT THE ORGANIZATION: Facing Abuse in Community Environments (FACE) is a 501-c3 nonprofit. FACE’s mission is to drive focused cultural change among Muslims, leading to transparent survivor-centered community safety and leader accountability, outside the criminal legal system, for those who abuse their positions of trust and authority.
